

The Darke County Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life in Darke County by receiving, managing and distributing charitable gifts for the benefit of local residents. The Foundation supports areas such as education, the arts, social services, community projects, religious organizations, conservation and animal welfare.
Through donations by individuals, families, businesses and charitable organizations, the Darke County Foundation provides long-term support for causes in which our donors strongly believe. Our goal is to assist donors in fulfilling their charitable wishes, creating lasting legacies for years to come.

The Darke County Foundation celebrated its 35th anniversary by awarding $152,000 in scholarships to 91 area graduates from the class of 2022. Another $82,000 will be awarded to current college students who attended a Darke County high school.
The scholarship money comes from funds the Foundation establishes through donations from individuals, businesses and charitable organizations. Invested long-term, these funds generate a continuing source of income and maintain lasting legacies for years to come. Donors often honor family members or a special purpose by setting up funds with personalized names.
